We have an Azalea growing in a pot on the porch and have had it for 6 months...sorry no idea of the variety. It has developed a white fungus on some of the outer leaves and main stem (sorry no pictures). The leaves appear to swell up and the fungus sometimes resembles a white hollowed out insect nest. Any ideas? We didnt pot the plant and I was thinking the soil may be too limey!?
Brycey, any chance of a pic? I think the plant may have woolly aphid, if so, it can be treated with a systemic insecticide.
It could be this Brycey
Pam, you appear to be spot on, looks very similar, Im going to try planting in the garden, see if that helps....Thanks to you both for the replies
