Big brown patches have started appearing on my French Bean leaves. Lower two tiers only, the rest of the plant still growing OK. The leaves eventually shrivel and die.

I grew the plants from seed in my conservatory, planting out 2 to 3 weeks ago. They are in a south facing alley to the side of my house in raised beds. Very warm part of the garden and a sun trap, although it sometimes becomes a wind tunnel.

Pic below

Anyone able to help? Thanks in advance.

Can't view your picture but if memory serves me right we had a wet cool spell up to about a week ago-put it down to the weather, not being hardened off enough and planted out too early.

Now is the ideal time to plant or sow.

Thanks sotongeoff.

Does that now mean I will lose the lot, or may they recover?

They will probably grow out of it-my feeling is that though it will be cooler by the end of the week we are are unlikely too see any cold weather till September(hopefully) -it doesn't always pay to get ahead
