I have a Caryopteris Kew Blue and every year it has been beautiful. This year I think it has been attacked by Capsid Bugs and its looking like it wont flower.
I wondered if anyone else is having the same problems or is it just me.

yes I planted mine in a large pot last year, the first time I've ever grown caryopteris. It grew very nicely but in the spring I noticed capsid bug attack at the end of the shoots. I tried pinching out the shoots but I don't think this helped. Now it's end of August and its blooms are starting to open. It has quite a lot of buds, but also a lot of damaged leaves. I don't know what to do for the best next year. I bought it for the bees so I really don't want to spray it with any neonicotenoids or anything that may make it toxic to the bees.
