Cherry blossom

Hi all,
i have come to notice that my cherry blossom in the garden has come down with a type of disease. The bark of the tree seems to be peeling off and there is an excess of dead wood. The tree is blossoming very well but I am still concerned about the lower bark.
Thanks for any feedback!

Have you got a photo?
Bark coming off isn't a good sign. Is it leafing up as well as blossoming?

Here's a picture of the main trunk, sorry if the picture is too big/small. Yes, the leaves are coming out well, the main problem lies with the bark to be honest, any ideas?

It doesn't seem to be working, I selected the image and pressed upload but there was no resonse unfortunately. Perhaps it's because of the iPad, I'll try on the PC
Hopefully that's worked. I must warn you, the tree is in a fairly shaded area and only the top end of the tree is receiving direct sunlight! However, the green fungus appears to be dominating the lower trunk.
That's moss - not fungus. Not a problem on a tree as far as I'm aware.
