I have a cherry tree (that sometimes fruits so not sure if it ornamental) ,that has been plagued with black fly. I was advised to spray with PROVADO ULTIMATE BUG KILLER, but I also want to prune it. Can you advise me on when the best time to do both is. Many thanks 'total novice'

If it is a sweet edible cherry you prune it in the summer. But I never prune mine. Cherries catch bacterial diseases easily.
Spray for blackfly when you can see the flies and spray them directly. It should say what to do on the bottle.
