clematis john paul grows well but does not flower any ideas why

How long have you had the plant and how big is it? Have you fed it and with what?

Maybe it' s hungry.  Clematis are greedy plants so try giving it a good dollop of special clematis food and an instant tonic of liquid rose or tomato food.

It's a pruning group 2. maybe you're getting the pruning regime wrong.

Gardening Grandma

I've had this one. It is quite tall and tends only to flower at the top unless you spread it out. Maybe it is still putting on some height.
