Hi does anyone know what this fungi is i found it on the top of my veg patch.

Looks like an Earthball, possibly Scleroderma citrinum. Does it exude a cloud of very fine spores when you tap it?

I thought it might be a earthball but wasn't sure. I didn't tap it i just dug it out and binned it!
Would my veg and soil on veg plot be ok with those growing on there?
