Does anyone know how to make an indoor living wall/living art without having to buy a pre-made container.  Can the container be made from wood and what do you need to use as the felt type base?

i saw a program on this recently where some used an old pallet.

Here is a link to blog with instructions on how to do it.

that is brilliant!  Thanks so much! Love the rustic look of this.

Just need to find somewhere that supplies the landscaping felt now.

You pick up the lanscaping fabric from any b&q/homebase but they usually charge over the odds for it, i tend to buy it from b&m bargains/homebargains/poundstetcher/wilkos etc when i happen to go bargain hunting.  Probably not he best time of year to get hold of it though.

You can also get it online for a fraction of the price, ebay would be a good place to start.
