Lawn Seed Rotting?

I rotavated our garden 11 days ago. The following day I sanded, added compost and lawn seed. I gently watered a couple of times as instructed on the lawn seed pack. 2 days after seeding it bucketed down for 48 hours! No sign of germination yet, is it likeky the seeds are damaged/rotting? Advice appreciated.

If you have reasonable drainage they should be OK. The only possible problem I can see is that some of it might have been washed away.

Seed germination under recent weather conditions has been a little hit and miss. However, heavy rainfall as recently experienced is highly likely to result in very poor grass coverage. Whilst there is still some temperature in the soil and before daylight reduces further you should consider re-seeding otherwise you are about to loose your window of opportunity. The alternative is turf which will obviously establish more quickly.
