problem is I have no lawn ...well, not a grass one anyway, I've created a mind-your-own-business one, so no lawn mowing! but agree, if you can mow up leaves with grass you get a pretty perfect mix for the compost bin . I  prefer to keep leaves separate as leaf mould is such wonderful stuff. I gather it up in bags initially, and then as they break down, some of them go into two old pedal bins which are full of worms and they turn it into fab crumbly compost for me. I only have a small garden so have to limit myself to the leaves that break down quickly. It's definitely worth doing though - you can't buy leaf mould (I don't think so anyway, I've never seen it for sale)

If you've no lawn then suppose a lawnmower is not an essential piece of gardening kit. The great thing about the lawnmower is not only does it collect leaves but it chops them up so they rot quicker. You can use it to collect leaves from driveways, yards and the lawn. if you don't want grass in the leaves raise the blade.

James, you could turn this to your advantage:

"I am James, of Clueless Gardener Services. I offer a leaf-collection service at very reasonable rates. I supply the bags and remove your leaves for, say, £1 a bag ...."

Great, I hope the rain keeps off for you.

In the meantime, perhaps you should get your PR consultant to reconsider your choice of trade name ...

I once brought home a  big bag of dry chestnut leaves for the hedgehogs as I thought that they might find nothing but ash leaves a bit boring
