Leatherjackets

Help - what can I do.  My relatively newly planted up pots - using prorietary potting compost have lots of Leather Jackets eating all my plant roots (as well as the lawn and beds - but that is slighly less of a worry).  I think I have missed the purchase time for the nematodes (though I did this last Autumn and all it seems to have done is multiply the things!!!   Would a solution of Jeys fluid get rid of them (and not harm the emerging lilies; gladioli; sweet peas etc.  I can only hunt and kill so many image

Take the plants out of the pots, wash the roots gently and pot up again in fresh compost - laying a piece of gauze, old nylon tight etc over the drainage holes in the pot.

A pain the the btm, but worth it in the end.
