Leggy camelia

I have a camelia that is rather leggy, having seen some others now in other gardens I was wondering if there is anything I can do to make mine bushier ?

It is planted near a cobnut tree so I'm wondering if it is leggy because it is growing out to the sun ? I cut the cobnut back last year as it was starting to smother the camelia, have fed it, anything else I can do. Had more flowers on it this year than last year so must be doing something right...

Camellia's like dappled shade, so it's probably fine where it is. As for the pruning, now is about the right time, it will give it time to regrow and form new flower buds in the late summer early autumn. Just give it a feed after pruning and a mulch with leaf mold and you should be ok for next spring.
