I have noticed this year a big increase in lily Beatles is this simply because of the mild weather ,is there any particular insecticide I should be using ?

Provado bug clear (yellow bottle) should clear them.

I get these on my Lilies and I find the only thing is to pick them off and discard them as you see fit, a bit labour intensive. I never use any insecticide as I also grow a lot of veg in my garden and do not want any run off etc etc...

Yes but I agree with Urszula in picking them off. You also need to crush them as the little buggers find their way back!

Thanks for the advice I'm doing what you have suggested and have killed around ten so far in a week ,as I'm growing them all in pots. I think I'm going to use a systemic pesticide as well
