I have planted snapdragons in tubs this year as I love them, all was well and they have been flowering wonderfully, but over this last week some of  the plants have wilted, in fact they look as if they are dried up I know this isn't the case as we are having so much rain here in Normandy in France the same as the UK, can anyone tell me what the problem is please, I hasten to add it's not all the plants just some, I have been dead heading them as the flowers die and now I am left with what looks like dead sticks !!

I would suggest the drastic action of pulling one out and looking at its roots, do you suffer from vine weevils?

Could it be too much rain?

We had wilting cucumbers even tho' we watered them regularly and found that the roots were infested with ants.  Applied ant powder and the plants no longer wilt so maybe ants are the problem?
