Last year I grew red and white onions on my allotment which did ok considering the dry weather we had through the summer. I harvested them in sept and left them to dry in a warm airy shed. However I ended up having to dump 90% of them as they all developed brown rot from the neck end of the bulb.
I might have expected to lose some especially if it had been a wet summer but to lose thatb amount was bad.
Any body any ideas about what went wrong?
