I have a pieris japonica which is 12ft tall and was beautiful when I moved here 5 years ago.

But for the last 3 years it has lost around 70% of it's leaves and only has leaves left at the end of the branches.  It hardly flowers at all in the spring.

Is it likely to have reached it's natural end or could it be diseased and hopeful revived with the right treatment ?

Thanks in advance from a complete novice
