I had a new Victoria plum tree last year. We did not pick the two plums. This year it has plenty of fruit but is dying back from the base shoots upwards. It has water and was fed in the Spring. Do you think it has a fungal desease? It is also infested with greenfly which I have sprayed.

Can you see any black or brown wiry rooty things in the soil around the tree? or anything similar round any other shrub or tree in your garden? You may be unlucky enough to have honey fungus. If so, you have no option but to dig it up and burn it.
