Gardening Grandma

Hi, Barbara. Glad you have posted. Please write something about your problem so people can help you with it.

I have a problem with my viburnum snowball tree something likes to eat all the leaves and they look like lace. Can anyone help?

There is a pest called viburnum leaf beetle which has recently arrived from the continent, I think.

The larvae hatch in May and start eating leaves. Spray in May with a chemical bug killer to kill larvae while young and cut off and burn affected leaves.Adult beetles are harder to kill. Hope this helps.
