I have put 2 in a heavy planter the entire thing most likely weighs in the region of 30kg with a single crassula variegata. Now when I needed to protect others last year I put them in a plastic green house in easy to move terracotta pots they did ok but not brilliantly could i use horticultural fleece double layer over a frame to protect them?

Verdun thanks again for your advice
I was gonna make the frame on the outside of my planter so was hoping the wood or plastic pipe i was would be ok to keep it from contact?
I doubt l'll be able to get perspex cheap so ill have to have a hunt for some strong plastic ground sheet i know i had.
Cheers Philippa.
anyone see a problem in using a transparent box as roof and sides if i can find on that fits? what is if i left a gap at the bottom? no idea how big of a gap as really need to see how big i can get the box
