Hi, I have a very rampant climbing rose which hasn't flowered very well this year. Am I right in thinking that in the spring I can cut it down to almost ground level and let it start again or is that totally wrong!?!?!?

Is it a climber or a rambling rose. there is a difference in the way you prune them?

Have a look at this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rf7F5qhChFM iit's one of the best demonstrations I've seen of how to tame a rampant climbing rose and persuade it to be the flower-full beauty that it should be

It's really funny watching it with the sound turned off.
