Reusing potting soil

Hi. I made a rookie mistake last year by buying containers without drainage holes. I planted plants last year and they did fine without the holes until winter came.

Obviously all the plants rotted off standing in stagnant water and I've disposed of them.

Can I save the soil? I have taken it out of said pots, taken out any root balls and left to dry in a huge shallow container in the sun.

Do you think I can use it again for new plants or is it best just to chuck it?

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't  re- use it in a pot if it's been stagnant.

And before you reuse the pots drill some Large holes in the base!
