Has anybody used the above, which are recommended as a slow fertiliser, but also has the added bonus of being an irritant to slugs and snails who apparently dislike the wool content of the pellets. Is it effective? Would welcome any comments.

There was a thread recently, which I can't find, where at least two posters said that the wool pellets were useless against slugs - perhaps someone else can link you to it.

I tried this last year on my allotment and it didn't work against the slugs and snails and it was very smelly
