my beech tree has sticky leaves I've never noticed it before it hasnt rained here in Devon for about 3 weeks now and the leaves are all sticky is this harmful does anyone know what if anything i need to do ??

It's probably honeydew from aphids - not really anything you can do and it won't do any longterm damage to the tree, although the leaves may be distorted this year.

Oh, don't park your car underneath it!

my hydranga is cvered with brown beetle like insects which leave a white cottn wool like sticky substance.on the stems and leaves .help

Sounds like scale insects PR. Wash the branches with tepid water and cotton wool. Oh and get your marigold's on....it's a messy job.
