Any ideas what this tree is - it has insignificant white flowers, followed by these berries, and turns a lovely yellow in the autumn. Could well be a self seeded one.

Morning chicky
Can you get one of those fruits and open it up and see the arrangement of seed or seeds inside? and the distal end of the fruit as well

Ok - finally been around in daylight - so here are some dissected berries. I also "had a sniff" - not a strong fragrance, but the vague hint of plum
There are two or three big seeds per berry - and the seeds are nearly as big as the berry itself
And here it is back in spring, with its insignificant white flowers
I should know what that is chicky but I think dementia is moving in

I wonder if it could be Buckthorn.
