what is wrong with my Judas tree?

This weekend I have noticed that whole branches of my Judas tree have brown leaves, and other (grrn leaves) have dropped. I have researched possible diseases but can't identify what is wrong. The tree otherwise looks healthy with lots of buds (presumably for next spring'd flowers). The affected leaves are dark brown and have black spots on the underside.

Photo available (tried to attach but failed!)

What is it, and what do I need to do to treat it?

they can't take being over-shadowed or too much wet. I've lost sveral over the years. I grew them from seed and gave a lot away. The one in my parents' former garden is the only one still doing well, in very dry gravelly soil with no competition

  • It looks like mould caused by the area being too damp. I would remove the affected leaves and dispose of them.
