What to plant after tulip fire?

Hello!  After removing all my poor tulips with tulip fire I want to reuse the pots and soil for my petunias.  Is this safe? There is little that I have found on the web apart from possible contimination with lillies and snakeshead plus 2-3 years for the spores to dies before I can replant tulpis in the same place.  Any thoughts?  Laura

I think it should be OK, but you will have to add food to the soil as it will have none left after the tulips.
