Anyone found out how to change your password on this site?

Every other option seems available but I can't seem to find this!

Most unusual on a website.

I would appreciate any advice...

Dont think you can- or change your user name either

03/10/2012 at 20:08

why would you want to?

I found I had several sites with the same login password.  This is contrary to the best security advice for users of the net.

Keyloggers and other plagues on humanity can gain entry to sensitive sites if you are lax with your passwords and even use similar ones.

So I have been going thro' my saved logins and making them more secure. I really advise you to do the same!

Incidentally it is simplicity itself to change your username on this site which makes the password problem all the more peculiar....

So has anybody a solution?

Can only suggest you post on forum topics/ site feedback and see what the back room peeps say.

A cack handed way is to logout and then do Forgotten password.

Cheers Kate1123.

I had seen that possibility when I first hit the problem, but sort of assumed I'd missed something obvious on a setting or some less obvious menu somewhere.

But since it does seem to be a genuine glitch I'll follow your suggestion.

Thanks Mike P.

Hello MIkeP,

Apologies for the confusion with the password reset link. At present, the only route to this is via the 'Forgotten your password?' link, at the sign in stage. I'll ask our tech team if they can add a password reset function o the 'My settings' area, for users who are already signed in.

Best,

I see what you mean now MikeP- . I generally have different passwords for various sites particularly for those for banking etc.

on reading this post  me too geoff......just didn't want to admit it

Thanks for the news Daniel.

Lot of fuss about a peripheral issue really -
Although the security aspect is very serious, and apparently we should all address the issue of using the same password more than once, even on seemingly benign sites.

Anyway, its stopped raining (where I am any way!).
So back to the plants and some serious path construction for me ........

All the best to everyone

MikeP
