Patsy - it did so! You have been/are going to be very busy

30/05/2013 at 09:09

I took that after I'd planted out a lot of things!

I'm a bit of a seed hoarder and this year (after a few subtle hints from my husband) decided to use some of it up instead of just buying more.

Ten year old Godetia seeds gave almost 100% germination and produced sturdy plants (it was an unopened pack) but some others were completely dead.

Patsy, what a wonderful sight. all those babies. What have you got?

30/05/2013 at 09:31

I start nearly all my veggies in cells - there's salad leaves, squash, leeks. There are begonias and some trailing plants for my two huge baskets, orach, opium and californian poppies, love lies bleeding, Bells of Ireland, asters, wild flowers to go into my tiny meadow ...

I love to see trays of baby plants

Soz folks ignore all above. Too thick to have a computer, putting it back in the box and taking it back.

10/10 for tenacity !!

Sorry - posts crossed.  My comment above was due to the fact that I can now see and enlarge your picture.  so get your computer back out of its box and give yourself a gold star !!

And just to prove the point - I can see you grow your sweetpeas in loo rolls like me !!

I can see and enlarge your picture too. Are those mixed salad leaves in the trough on the path?

Ta Chicky, but don't think it's anything I've done, Fairy must have waved her wand.

I know some of you are very smart with picures & I'm struggling.

Before the last pic that Chicky could enlarge all I could post were minatures that would not enlarge.

Pease bear with me:

I use a Nikon Coolpix L25 to upload my pics to My Pictures..I run Windows XP Prof. ( Prof please don't laugh)  There isn't anywhere on that that enlarges photos other than by a vast amounts , but it doesn't stay there when you close pic.

I've tried posting to Facebook ( for my view only) and sending from there but still only get small pics, that won't enlarge. The one pic I did copy from FB that was correct size came via friend's internet connected phone.

The only success I've had was the last one above that Chicky could enlarge. I did this by emailing it to myself and it lets me up pixels ??? to  2048 x 1152. Then I opened it and saved it to desktop. I then went on forum and selected from desktop. Am I thick or is there an easier way?

Might just have to buy a decent phone..only PAYG..does take pics etc.but not internet connected. Only use it for texts.

If you think you can help please send Baby instructions. Thanks for even reading this

KEF - I don't profess to understand these things, but I do what you did on your successful attempt.  ie I take photo with my phone, email it to myself, open the attachment and save on my computer and then upload this saved image.

Bit of a faff, but it means I get the garden photos on my PC too, and I can keep deleting them from my phone (which stops it getting clogged up with too many pics).

Patsy you have been busy! I'm just imagining how many pots etc you'll need to move them all on!

KEF I just use my phone mainly for texts too- the pix I have on it just have to stay there  I put my camera pix on that photobucket site that Salino recommended. I have an Olympus digital camera but as it's about 8 or 9 years old it's probably obsolete by now. No idea about the pixels or anything but it seems to work fine!

Or maybe it's that magic wand I have...

I knew that Potter boy would fix it for me...

Chicky & Fairy I'm paying attention, will see if any other ideas come. Thanks for prompt replies...I feel as tho' I'm in 20 Century  not 21st. Just get the hang of something and it's out of date.

LittleA, PatD, Kef, well done and LA, fab pics of strawberries; you must really like them. Me; I can take 'em or leave 'em. I love gooseberries, with mackeral. I believe the French call them 'fruite de mackeral' (?)

FG, a very young person like yourself should know about all this techy stuff

Hi Patsy, yes they were, pic is few weeks old so some of them have been eaten, they are still a bit slow with cold weather but will pick up soon. Next lot already sewn in another trough as I expect more to pop up in first one.
