Hi does anyone know where I can get empty water bottles from a water dispenser please, to use for cloches.
try your local office buildings or bottlebank (recycling bank)
At work we have those big ones from here http://www.edensprings.co.uk/cups-and-accessories,uk,4,4.html and they go back to the depot to be refilled - why not contact them and ask what happens when they can no longer be recycled for their original use?

you could always tie a piece of string around the neck of the bottle and tie it of on a length of timber
sounds a very good Idea,I use pop bottles and I put a stick in the opening to stop the wind taking it .
