Me thinks there is still one left unless you guys have reported them.

I hovered over the poster and it comes up gogle de guk. I was one of the first to  respond to it a couple of days ago  and my computer went into busy down load mode so I switched it off!

What happens if you answer any of these spammers.? I saw that one  " am I posting too much  ? " and i answered it . I thought it was someone who'd been moaned at and felt sorry for who ever it was .  but nothing has happened to my  computer - will it ?

Relax.relax,relax-that was not spam-the spam messages were blockpostings by people from overseas wanting you to buy jewellery, watches etc-the only damage you could do was to click onto one of their links.

Replies to messages on here will not harm your computer in any shape or form-that topic has got a bit silly and wandered onto different topics as topics do but replying is just that- a reply.

Your computer is as safe as it ever was and the site has taken measures to block future spam messages and the original spam messages have been removed from the site.

Thank you,a great relief there is still lots and lots more I need to learn abot spams , phishing etc. But for now on with the much needed garden clear up ! Thanks again . Lucky 3.

Lucky, the big no-no is clicking on links in emails. Even if I get one from my bank I go to the website to find out more because some hackers are very good at making an email look as if it's come from your bank then taking you via a link to a website that looks like your bank's one and extracting information from you because you think you're safe.

Apologies if you already know this and I'm 'teaching granny to suck eggs'!

Thanks everyone for the info on spammers, I don't understand it at all, am not too good with computers.
