Please could someone advise me, 'how do you know when the garlic is ready to be dug up' thankyou

I stopped buying garlic some time ago, so when I want some I just pull a plant up.  That way you can see how it is coming along.

The foliage will die back when the garlic is ready. Then put it somewhere to dry out fully.

I usually plant my garlic at half-term, late October.  Separate the cloves and plant only the biggest ones from the outside of the bulb.  Ensure you are planting single cloves, not doublers.

Don't plant too deep, but ensure the clove is buried.  From 6 - 9 inches apart each way.
