Ok ladies, I'm trying very hard nit to get excited until it's confirmed.......but is this the start of a tiny flower on my Agapanthus? I've only ever seen them with the cluster of flowers like on Stacey's?  I'm sure it's coming from one of my plants but it just looks different??

Agapanthus like hot climates - they do really well in pots in the south of France with very little attention.  Here I find the ones that are constricted in pots do far better than those left  to spread in the ground.  They are one of the plants that don't care if they don't get watered whilst I am away.  I think you need to avoid cold and wet.

I reckon so OL, mine's got one flower head and the individual flowers are on a little stalk like yours...

Thank you  I was wondering whether to dig them up and put them in pots, I have 3 plants but only these 2 flower stems on one.  It is a bit crowded where they are so I am moving/splitting some plants anyway at the end of summer.

I've put mine in a sunk in pot as I heard they like to be crowded. It's my first time growing them and they've all come up but only one flower. They are called Pinocchio...

I'm not sure what mine are called, they were a GW offer, will have to look them up.  They have all come up but lots of leaves, really pleased I spotted these flowers though as I didn't think I was getting any at all

Isn't it strange how they just appear? My crocosmia has done the same and I've been checking it all the time...

Mine too Victoria, I moved it earlier in the year and thought I'd damaged it and then yesterday I noticed loads of flower buds that weren't there 3-4 days ago
