If you can keep it in a shadier part of your garden Susan it'll appreciate it. Morning sun at this time of year isn't great for it - same as Acers - and try and give it some shelter from wind as the blooms are quite delicate. Keeping it well watered in late summer is important as that's when it forms it's buds for the following spring.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Good advice from all of the above , but have you potted it in ericaceous compost?
