this sunshine...every day from morn til dusk....is infuriating.  heat, blue skies, birds singing, plants growing and the constant need for a lager, well, it has to stop.

bring back the rain and cold i say...wheres that lager?...

Work hard, drink plenty, keep fluids up Verdun, I'm doing the same

04/06/2013 at 20:45

Rather go for the chilled white wine myself.

04/06/2013 at 20:49

oh alright....ill keep my fluids up with lager and white wine.  ill try to enjoy it all but its so hard............................

I agree. Who needs sunshine?

Summer brings pests and diseases and noisy birds and many many many long hauls up and down the garden path with pales of water.

Why oh why did I build my veg plot at the end of my garden? Who in their right mind would want to spend every sunny evening traipsing about in the setting sun, playing fetch and carry at a relaxing pace, smelling the roses as they go.

Pass me a glass of wine and let me sit in despair at the fecundity going on around me.

The only thing bugging me is that I have to work the next couple of days, stuck inside when I want to be in the garden.

Hope it's still good by Friday

There's no need for that kind of language Wintersong...

Us Scots are only really happy when it's cold and raining...what would we have to moan about otherwise? We're not a dour race for nothing you know....

And that sun makes our kilts awfy itchy

Oh dear.  Once the sun comes out, the clothes come off (not mine I hasten to add, Greenpeace would be scratching their heads wondering how I could be separated from my pod this far inland).  Someone ought to tell these women that

A - buying a size 10 and squeezing your size 14 bust and bottom into it does NOT make you a size 10, and

B - freshly cooked lobster is NOT a good look.  Especially when you have white strap lines on show from yesterday's strappy top.

Oh, the joys of living in a mining/dorm village and not being one of the yokels.  Off to get a bucketful of factor 5000, think I have some vampire in my genes somewhere.

This time next week I'm in Cornwall, staying at Pentillie Castle for a few days - I hope Verdun's wish for rain and cold isn't granted by Fairygirl's  Cornish cousins!

Or tell men that walking along the street with their shirts off is not a good look, particularly if they have a belly hanging over the belt.
