garlic

Any other garlic fans out there ?  I have always bought garlic bulbs from garden centres etc to grow on.  However having grown a really good crop this year am wondering whether I can use these for next year's crop now they have dried out

Also living in N. Yorks is it better to delay sowing until spring ? I have tried both times of year but autumn seems a little unreliable

Any advice gratefully received - Louise

Go for it, you've nothing to lose, I'm in N Lancs and started to plant out locally grown garlic aa couple of weeks ago. It's already a few inches high.

You can always plant more in Spring and compare the two crops.
  • Thank you, Zoomer, will wait a little to plant my cloves - it would be interesting to know how you get on with your early planting, I think N.Lancs is a little warmer than here and probably kinder to early 'garlic sprouts'.

Thank you for your trouble in replying
