Gooseberry american mildew

Hello folks I am new to this but I have a small orchard of damson trees . They are loaded down with damsons nestled below them were two gooseberry bushes. I have had some trouble with American mildew so I moved them to a more open spot and washed the brown off before making pies !!! fine. Now to my horror I noticed the 5 Damson trees appear to have A.M. as well. Is this possible? the fruit is still green ( we are 700 feet up in North Wales, how can I treat them they are 10 feet high please help I feel like crying.

Picture of the problem would help. Diseases and fungus which attack Gooseberries would not attack Damsons.
