Lotus corniculatus

fidgetbonesfidgetbones Posts: 17,617

I have some plants of Lotus corniculatus. I wanted them to form a mat like I remember seeing as a kid. Mine have grown tall. Is this because I dont have rabbits grazing them? Should I shear them down to get the effect?

Rabbits or a mower fidget. When I first grew these I thought I'd got the wrong plant.

I think they're like daisies, when it's flowering time they flower, in between mowings. I've planted one so it will seed into the lawnimage

Good idea Nut, I've been wondering what to do with the one I bought last year. I'm not short of rabbits though!

When I've got more fresh seed, I will be pushing it into the lawn.
