I have some plants of Lotus corniculatus. I wanted them to form a mat like I remember seeing as a kid. Mine have grown tall. Is this because I dont have rabbits grazing them? Should I shear them down to get the effect?

Rabbits or a mower fidget. When I first grew these I thought I'd got the wrong plant.
I think they're like daisies, when it's flowering time they flower, in between mowings. I've planted one so it will seed into the lawn
In the sticks near Peterborough
I've got a tray of homesown plugs just waiting to get popped into the grass verges.
Good idea Nut, I've been wondering what to do with the one I bought last year. I'm not short of rabbits though!
When I've got more fresh seed, I will be pushing it into the lawn.
