Morning all. Just going to work soon too.
Hopefully get out later and get on with more digging etc.
We didn't really expect Governments to tell us the truth did we??
Catch up later. Hopefully there'll be some nice posts today instead of the nonsense some of us witnessed last night.
Ignore all the rubbish Fairygirl, not worth the effort to read,
Good morning all, just waiting for the fog to go, it's down to mist already. Kids still here so not back to the shed painting yet, lovely
Good morning everybody
Its sunny again......even quite hot. Lovely day in prospect.
Will take my dog soon.....he's putting pressure on me now but I'm resisting. Gonna have another piece of toast first.
Sunshine or not have good day folks
Glad I missed the 'nonsense' FG, not sure I'll look back to check.(?)
4thPanda, hope you have a better day, always tough feeling like that.
Verdun - got same pressure from son
Workers - make the most of it
Leisurely folks - enjoy it
Don't you find when you take photos (especially if you post them for others to see) you then end up seeing things you'd forgotten about? Must try to tidy up beneath conifers today (more bites).
What "nonsense" did I miss?? Can we stop talking pensions got 25 years left!!! Unless I can get medically pensioned off from work!
Lovely bright sunny day,
Hopefully all nonsense was yesterday, and today will be an end to it.
Bought some pansies yesterday ,so am just going to pop them into a couple of hanging baskets to fill the gaps left by the petunias
.May go to GC later, just for a look around and a cup of tea.
On Monday when kneeling in a flower bed trying to fill in the mole tunnels I got wacked in the eye by a dead, dry Liatris flower. I know, I never get round to deadheading everything. Yesterday it went red, swelled up and oozed pus. Yuk. Went to Doc today, conjunctivitis. Eye wash, drops, no driving for 3 days (bother), no gardening, no dusting (that one is OK!), no going for a walk if it's windy.
Oh dear Lizzie.
We found DWP was ok but then we only honed for an assessment which they give it was 9 months before. OH officially retires next year but in fact he hasn't worked for 3 years, no benefits or anything so we struggle sometimes
M had a stroke yesterday, right side, was very worried etc when saw her, have phoned today and she is fine. OH says she'll outlive all if us! will visit later.
OK Matty thta's enough doom and gloom - sorry folks
Have sowed foxglove seeds sat at my new table
And some salad leaves I sowed 3 days ago are already showing signs of life.Yesterday I pruned my apples, pears and plum. I have no idea whether it is right or not as this spring was so bad they didn't blossom much either. Find out next year! They grow on a cordon.
Poor Lizzie - sounds uncomfortable - hope it clears soon. Will be giving my liatris a wide berth. Best blame it on the moles
Matty- what a worrying time for you - hope she is ok when you visit, and that it will put your mind at rest.
best get back to staring out the train window...
I have discovered the "ignore" button next to someones avatar. magic, just like Harry Potter - obliterate. No more nonsense. Lifes too short for argumentative bullies.
Oh and I've never been "normal" in my life, and I'm not starting now. (a little eccentric maybe)
What is normal? We are all different. Thank God! Variety is the spice of life.
After 2 lots of eye drops it feels so much better, although still very red.
Verdun, do you have a dog who sits with the lead in his mouth, just looking at you until you succumb.?
We used to have a collie x alsatian, who learned that if she went to the dog food cupboard and pawed it, someone would assume she had not been fed, and feed her. When the tins of meat were going down too fast, we had to have a chart so we knew how much she'd had. She then trained the cat to always leave her some in his bowl. If it was time for a walk, she could help herself to the dog lead and present it to a likely candidate. The collie side came out when she rounded up all the kids on the beach like sheep.
Sorry to hear about your mishap, Lizzie.....hope it clears up quickly.
From someone who has undergone more than his share of eye surgery this year.
Thank you David, Matty and Chicky. Spent the afternoon ironing in front of the TV.
Fidget, your dog sounds like he was a wonderful and smart cookie. Mine, Spike, is 10 in a few days' time and knows how to get his own way by just staring dolefully at me. Like yours fidget, spike is a character. Would really miss him.
Morning - another grey start here - although yesterday was gorgeous once it got going.
Yesterday stumbled on some photos of the garden last year - looked very sparse compared to this year - didn't realise how far we had come ! Must take more photos as we go. This site has made be better at remembering to do that!
Good morning all ((Hugs)) for those that need them today - looks like we've got some wounded soldiers amongst us and our families
Good morning forkers. Off to work again.have a good day.
Verdun, do you train the dog or does the dog train you?
