It's warm out there  I've just been preparing a bit of the veg patch for my strawberry plants, and I had to take my cardi off - I'm down to a vest and jumper (and my jeans of course )

There's a female blackbird eagerly grabbing beakfuls of little works and flying off into the hedge - I guess her eggs must've hatched - thank goodness it's getting warmer

"Little works???"  What am  saying????   Little worms is what she's feeding them

Dove-that stripping off has gone to your head!

I do love a blackbird- my favourite bird I think- even when they dig up all the bark in the borders when you've just made it all nice and neat!

My favourite bird is a chicken - roasted

Just come in for a break and in the hope my legs will still work when I get up.  Been on my knees digging out little weeds.  Clay earth not very workable.  I will persevere. There's so much to do and I feel a bit daunted by the prospect.  Loads of bare spots where I lost plants during all that snow year before last and which didn't get filled last year.  Oh well, just a little at a time. Got several plants in pots but will need a bit of help to get the out. Fings ain't what they use t'be.

Yes, I'm in for a coffee (decaff ) it's gorgeous out there - to be honest I've spent some time just sitting on the terrace - must have a pee, grab a mug and get back out there .....

Dove Why am I sitting in my lounge when I could be sitting in the garden!  That bit of gardening has made me lose my marbles!!  Off to uncover my garden seat before the sun goes in.

Yep Brum, just take it easy.

Dovefromabove

I think we should have a Marbles championship, if anyone has any left

Back from the hairdressers, going out into the garden for half an hour before Sainsbugs trip. Hair shorter than I thought, trouble is I can't see without my glasses and when I put them on it to soo late.

Lovely out, but still breezy.

Actually took off my trusty fleece, how lovely to be warm without artificial means - mind you I wonder what the night temps will be

Didn't do what I said. went into front and finished the other side of the path. No plants yet but it's now wider and matches. Plants to follow when I can find the ones I want.

Got a bit more topsoil

Busy time for you then, Look forward to ultimate results

Blackest,
Quite a job there but what excitement to come and satisfaction after. Did you say how big a garden you have?

Blackest-what's keeping you then...can't sit about drinking tea and watching the racing like me you know!

I don't envy you-done too much of that sort of thing over the years and my back's b******d!

It's probably around 40 meters front to back and maybe that wide too. Technically bigger but it rented and my landlord bought it to stop the land being developed so his garden is bigger but i'm happy in my cottage with the bit I have, but its got little growing other than grass and  a few trees. So i'm aiming to make it an interesting cottage garden.

My backs ok , but I haven't got the strength and stamina i used to have. Hearts a bit weakened from a heart attack which strangely manifests as left arm pain. Plus being diabetic messes up my energy levels, so have to keep doing bits and stopping a while.

Looks like you have a fair bit to do blackest, like the stones, bet that took a time to figure out where they all go

blackest

I like jigsaws , i back filled as i went so it didnt need to stand on it's own

nutcutlet

Makes my back ache just looking at it blackest.

Fairygirl

Do be careful blackest. I thought the left arm pain was a symptom of a heart attack?

Don't do too much at a time
