Oh, thanks Chicky. That makes me feel so much better. Everyone else likes to be up at the crack of dawn.
Not this household - luckily offspring have inherited the same propensity to languish in bed til noon. Only reason we are up at 6 in the week is the dreaded alarm clock.
Off to eat my egg and bacon sandwich - another one of my weekend vices
Was lucky that mine followed suit. Even used to have to wake them up on Christmas Day!
Enjoy your brekkie.
I'm only 22 Fairygirl as I told my grandchildren last year thatI I was 21.
He doesn't look like Simon Cowell, Dove. He wouldn't let the equine dentist put the gag contraption on so we had to give up. He was rearing and kicking his legs out and one of us was going to get hurt. She said the only way to do it was to have a vet sedate him but because of his age they might not be prepared to do that. Animals do cause a lot of worry. I told my daughter that when she puts me in a home to make sure I can't even have a budgie.
Perhaps you might get a cage Pam...
Chicky-I'm appalled-eating 'eggs' with your name....
Tina- definitely a lever!!!!!! Tell him in future he will be sleeping in his car!
Was very good at GC-bought grass feed which is what I went for...and just a few pots ...and another pulsatilla. Scottish grown too...I'm flying the flag! Been planting it in it's little alpine pan with some sempervivums and put it with my other one. Grass cutting etc later before rain tomorrow
I am not receiving notifications for PM or anything else. I have just tried to post a pic on another thread and it wouldn't let me
Another planned day - digging an extension to jewell border - turf is already lifted. Shopping for the pots that I didn't do yesterday.
Still waiting for OH to start his part of this deal which is to paint the downstairs loo. Preparation already done by me
Matty, you sound in the same boat as me. My life seems to revolve around expectations. As son is at present spending more time in the loo and bed, I am not holding my breath about my afternoon plans.
PP, your horsey sounds a bit like me where the dentist is concerned. Can never manage to keep my feet still. Also talk far too much - so what's new.
Andy, Andy Andy. Please try again. I will always accept money from anyone.
Woo hope your migraine is well and truly gone.
Enjoy the sushine everybody.....it's absolutely BEAJTIFUL here.
Meant beautiful, as in my reflection
Got my water back but with a large portion of mud even tried to filter it and it still didn't come clear. I guess today is a day to be free with the hose pipe, as i won't drink the stuff.
i'll just put this here, if you noticed the solid wood kitchen spam I found out they were dodgy and I think someone said report them to watchdog or rogue traders... well surprise surprise..
Vance Miller is arguably Britain's most notorious Rogue Trader. Vance's company 'Kitchens', based in Oldham, Lancashire, was the first ever business to receive a Stop Now Order from The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) back in 2002. This effectively told him to stop delivering poor quality kitchens to unsuspecting consumers.
In 2004, Vance was still up to his old tricks so Rogue Traders paid him a visit … in a tank. Why you ask? Simple – Vance's criminal history is extensive including convictions for assault and kidnap in Britain as well as smuggling cocaine in Sierra Leone and diamonds in the US.
Over the years he has been locked up in 6 different countries for various crimes, faced numerous civil court cases and been banned from being a company director until 2014."
Anybody want a cheap kitchen? No I didn't think so.
Figured it is better to let his spam threads fall of the front page but thought people might like to know
WEll spotted Blackest.
Have made plans to take tomatoes into house overnight as bad frost forecast.
I haven't done much this morning and definately not the planned digging. Did prick out some red cabbage seedlings and potted up 3 erysinum cuttings, That's about it.
Will see what i get round to doing this afternoon.
Afternoon all. Beautiful day here. Waiting for someone who wants to buy the lttle ginger kitten, will be really sad if he goes
Well done indeed blackest! These people are scum. I hate to think of the number of poor souls that get ripped off by these kinds of people.
Have some champagne/beer/juice (delete where applicable) since you can't have water....
Matty-they're hopeless aren't they- OHs? While you're slaving over a hot spade...
Just in for lunch...a bit late. Been cutting grass, feeding another bit and removing some from under front window where it had been allowed to grow...think Capability Brown's been back in fashion..
Tina- you're needing to 'kick ass'...not easy is it though? Just told mine off for leaving the grill pan dirty after making bacon rolls.
B*****s didn't even offer me one...
Hello everyone, bit cool here, so not really done much apart from a quick look around. Will pop out later to quickly put in some more aubrietta I bougth yesterday and plant my very first herbs, sage and tarragon.
Kittens are such sweet things Bev, he's got a lovely face
Gorgeous kittens, BPK!
Tina, I agree. Kick ass! I have found, when disciplining wayward OH, that if I make up my mind he is going to do something, he does it meekly. I don't have to nag - think he takes one look at my face! If I haven't yet made up my mind, he senses it and takes no notice of me.
Blackest, the water situation is one that can be a limitation or an opportunity. Are the beer cans at the back of the fridge?
PP and FG, we three 20 somethings are in our prime. Maybe we should call ourselves the Gardening Supremes.
Matty, indulge yourself and take a rest. I've abandoned my gardening plans, cleaned out cupboards this morning and will get out the summer clothes this afternoon, putting away the winter ones. This will lead to an orgy of washing and ironing and a nice glow of self satisfaction, all in the optimistic hope that summer will eventually come.
To anyone I've missed - hope the day goes as planned and find a bit of time to spoil yourselves. Dove has talked so much about bara brith that I'm making some later, together with a meat pie for tomorrow. Won't hold my breath for a weight loss at Fat Club next Tues.
The little angel is still in bed. Am trying very hard not to get wound up. Will be having his guts (if he has any left) for garters when he eventually emerges and if he dares give me that silly grin I witnessed this morning at 3.40 I swear I will black his eye, or better still, push his motor bike over. That will hurt him more.
Was contemplating painting the wall of next door's garage, which forms a barrier between us, but it is so windy and turned really cold. Another day.
Finished for day, on lightly turning my jewell bed I found the Lobelia 'Queen Victoria' which I thought I had lost - it was slaughtered by slugs last year -is coming back and is bigger, Now how to keep it clear of the slimey etc etc etc
Quite like this early finishing - wonder how long it will last - probably until next week when visitors are exppected from down under and loo still needs decorating
Oh Matty-don't give in and do the painting yourself...stand firm!
GG-eat it standing up-doesn't count then

Maybe this will help, GG!
