Hi everyone and welcome Pamela14
Im also useless with computers etc and I did have a go with the map but no luck I'm afraid. Would someone be so kind as to add me? I hate to be left out lol!!!
Im in South Glos halfway between Gloucester and Bristol, don't know how detailed the map is but I'm in the village of Tytherington, nearest town is Thornbury. I would be very grateful and there's a virtual cake flying around for who ever takes pity on me
When Verdun says yes to an onslaught of visitors count me in.....I don't mind top and tailing
P.S. sorry! Good luck to all taking the exams
Matty I meant to say yesterday I envy you that obelisk- so much nicer and more practical than the ones I have.
Good afternoon all,
Welcome Pamela. You must be a lovely lady with a name like that.
I managed to put myself on the map yesyerday but on checking I'd disappeared. Who nicked my balloon? Back on now.
Hi all- I'm home!!!
Welcome Pamela - you don't have to be mad to be on here- but it helps...
My wand isn't working-here's what we got an hour ago...
Fairygirl please don't go waving that wand anywhere near my direction. Bright but breezy here today.
hi there Woo2, Pottie Pam (a lady of taste I'm sure!) and Fairygirl!
Bright, windy and trying on the odd shower over my way today
It's ok-I'm just going to get on a train to visit Verd instead....
And I'll chuck the wand out the window on the way
Fairygirl, your wand worked for me after your wandl went too far over to Verdun in Cornwall the fairy dust drifted back to Somerset and we have had some sunshine!!
Have managed to mow the lawn and pot up some petunias ,which I am leaving in the greenhouse in view of torrential rain forecast tomorrow.
Afternoon peeps, YEAH IM ON THE MAP!!! A big thank you to 'John' for putting me on there......what a gent! virtual cake on the way
Fairygirl - what is that lovely, bright green plant in the tall terracota pot in your photo?
Been making path and border and stained my raised bed today as well as mapping.
It's Carex oshimensis 'Evergold' Pamela. Have a couple of them -very useful in a shady area but they also take a fair bit of sun. A lot of my stuff is in pots as I've recently moved and starting again
They're great in all sorts of locations-beside ponds, mixed borders etc.
You've been busy blackest! What did you decide on with your 'box cones' formal bed?
Pam- should have said the carex is creamy gold with green edging. This is a slightly better pic:
The under gardener Jess inspecting the new path
The Formal Bed is the Landlords, he has planted the buxus and put weed control fabric down but it needs stones and the central feature yet. In Spain this week so I am minding the place and jess while they are away.
Just wanted to say what a nice bunch of people on this forum.
We are pretty wonderful aren't we Verdun
Jess looks impressed. I 2nd that Verdun.
Now lashing down in S.Yorks, spent 3 hrs on knees weeding at Mum's, got home WE pruned our Robina and then planned easy jobs, not be. Garden does need water, but why..the usual question, can't it rain overnight?
Oh Verdun is that a yes to us all coming to visit you?
