Hello Dictamnus I've read your profile and you sound a keen cottage gardener.   Your name is a bit long but I daren't shorten it  Join in and enjoy the forum.

Welcome Dictamnus.  Nice to see you here

Welcome, Dictamnus, to the 'probably the happiest site around' re: gardening in all its varied aspects! Why not post a couple of pictures of your cottage garden? - it sounds very interesting (from  your profile) and others are bound to find it stimulating too...?

Welcome Dictamnus    Looking forward to hearing more about your garden and hopefully seeing some pictures too

Thanks 4 msgs. When it stops raining, hopefully, I'll get some pics done. I'm an old codger who's not au fait with computers, so bear with me.

...join the crowd....nice to see you...

Welcome to the forum. I hope your garden isn't taking as much of a battering as mine has from the last two days of non-stop rain I've suffered. My roses and peony's were just about to come into their moment of glory. They now look very sorry for themselves and I'm feeling very sorry for myself

Trust you KEF, there's always one

Welcome Dictamnus (I know I will spell it wrong at some point!) f you changed your name to Dictamnus Albus we could just call you Albus.

I read your profile too and it sounds like you must be very knowledgeable so looking forward to lots of tips as I am a newbie to all this and have to say everyone on here is fantastic and so friendly.........and maybe just a bit bonkers  So welcome and I hope you realise what you've let yourself in for

Gud idea Orchid Lady 'cept Dic is short for Dick which is short for Richard. Hope that makes sense.

27/05/2014 at 21:58

Ahhhh, I see, so we can call you Dic then?  KEF - behave!!!

Welcome Dictamnus, I'm a newbie too but everyone seems a really friendly bunch on here and ive picked up lots of useful tips already.  Looking forward to many happy chats on here with everyone

Hi Nooze, welcome, keep chatting.

Welcome Dic, fear not we are a wild and crazy bunch, but good fun. Like you, I'm a novice newbie too and not too comfortable with the "tree" and uploading pictures. But help is at hand and if you go wrong (as I did recently) and in my excitement uploaded the wrong picture of the same plant you will be gently corrected so enjoy.

Dictamnus?  I feel I'm in an Up Pompei script.
