I am just about to get rid of my upright freezer and wondered if there are any bright ideas out there for garden uses. I was thinking particularly of a cold frame sort of thing.

I think Bob flowerdew uses them as compost containers. Laid on its back obviously.

Good insulation means rapid heating up.

Well insulated; can be used for vegetable storage. They can also be used for water storage as they are usually watertight.

Make absolutely, absolutely certain no child can get locked in it.  I know it's not likely but children play in the strangest places.

But be aware that it is by its very nature an ugly thing and it may have a better home at the tip with its refrigeration liquid professionally removed.
