Hi, Can you help me, a friend picked up this from somewhere many years ago as a seed head, it has passion fruit type flower but not the right leaves to be that,

She says "It's easy to grow and prolific but can't find it in any of my books"

any suggestions would be much appreciated, Thanks

Nicandra physalodes or shoo fly plant

That little tomato thingy reminds me of some of the plants that grow in Queensland. Datura type things. Can't remember the name though!

Nice one fidgetbones,

Nicandra physalodes looks very much like this, I'm sure she will be very happy to finally put a name to it, & prob be able to learn more about it,

Thanks everyone, waterbutts - I hope it comes to you  ,

fidgetbones is absolutely correct as usual. I have grown them from seed this year as I read that they were fun looking. I am not sure though the flowers are a bit insipid although I quite like the purple and green seed pods
