Hi all.
New member here, looking for some help. We ave recently had a new lawn put down with 8 circular stepping stones. We cut the lawn regularly but the stones have almost disappeared under the grass laying across them. Has anyone got any tips as to how we can trim the grass around the stones keeping them neat and tidy. We are new to all this so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Steve
I find it's best done on my hands and knees with an old kitchen peeling knife, (now relegated to the garden shed for that sort of job) just cutting vertically around the edge of the stones. It doesn't take long and doesn't have to be done every time you mow - just as it needs it.

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum.
We have had the same problem as when we moved here a lot of slabs were found just underneath the grass. We did cut around, as Dove said, but by then they were too low and have had to lift some and just put a bit of sand underneath to bring them back to a level where the mower blades don't catch them.
Good luck and hope you enjoy the forum
