Rhodedenron Disease
Hi all, I was wondering if you can help, I recently bought a tortoiseshell rhodedendron for £25, when i purchased it i noticed that the leaves had brown around the edges, I asked the shop worker if this was ok or some kind of disease and she said that it was wind burn or bruised leaves. I have planted it in ercacious soil in a place where it gets the afternoon sun. Now the new shoots are going brown round the edges just the same, some look like they are scorched. I have tried researching this but to no avail, has anyone come across this before. Thanks in advance

Hi pansyface, thanks for taking the time to help. You may have cracked it, It was in a pot when i bought it from the nursery, I have planted it in the ground, but I have been using tap water to water it, Do you think I should dig it up and repot it and use rain water like you say, its such a beautiful plant and i dont want to lose it. The flower buds are beautiful and green, its just these leaves
