Slipper Orchid

I have a slipper orchid that has just shed its two flowers. The stems are sturdy, hairy and have no nodes to trim down to. What's left where the flower was looks like a seed pod that might be getting bigger. How do I encourage the plant to grow more stems and flowers?

  • Not sure if they are the same as other orchids, but they just usually grow new stems or new shoots off old stems from time to time. Just keep watered (not too much) from the bottom be careful not to get water in the middle of the leaves and nit to sit in water.

There is another thread on the care of orchids, I'll try to find it and bump it up for you.

  • Think I found it, sorry Gg
