Hi folks, someone here always knows the answer to everything

We have rather a fine video of the great crested newt egg-laying. It's been suggested we send it to Spring watch and the best way to do that is to upload to a sharing vids site.

Is this the way to go and if so which is the best site?

Thanks, we're a bit behind with the modern tech here

Pop it on Youtube or you can upload it to FB just make sure its settings is public so everyone can see it.

BBC News used a video I took of the Severn Bore during the floods at the beginning the year and they accessed it from Facebook, with my permission of course.

Upload it to youtube. Its pretty easy, and you can then give the address for it to other people . I've had over 30,000 hits on my whale shark feeding video.

Sorry Caral - it's only simple if you have done it before.  Step by step would  be good.  I even made a mistake sending my Dad an e-mail last night

Hi nut, Springwatch has an upload page which should make it easy.

Go nut go

Lesley, it really is simple on FB. Log on and click on your name. And you will see this at the top of the page.

Click Add Photos/Video find the vid on your computer. (helps to have saved it on your desktop for ease) and upload. Use the Click down next to Friends and change to Public and then click post!  Simples.

Great find, BobTheGardener. Good ole Auntie thinks of everything.

Fidget could you share the link to your whale shark feeding vid, I would love to see that.

Thanks Bob, we'll give it a go. Otherwise it will go to the Gopro site, (the camera)

I looked at the springwatch site and only found post it, email it or link it. Got to get the vid sorted first, done of our computers are up to it really but OH usually gets there in the end.

Watch this space,

Thanks folks
