Why is it that you rarely see zinnias in summer bedding displays? Do they give the impression of being an old-fashioned flower?

Adam, I've grown 'Purple Prince' too this year and like you found it to be an excellent variety. Some others I grew this year included Orange King, Giant Wine Bouquet and Blackcurrant Cordial, all are stunning plants.
