My hoe doen'T look like that one.
Does the earth have to have a fine crumb, mine is heavy clay.

How funny is it to see a so called expert sharpen the wrong side of the hoe blade and the proof is in the pudding as they say. watch how the hoe does not cut the weeds as he says but pushes them along the ground.
The efficient way of hoeing weeds is to get the blade under the roots, when they are very small the roots have not gone down very far and you can do this easily if your soil has been worked so it has a fine tilth in the top layer and it is dry.
Do not try to hoe in wet soil as you compact the soil and the weeds will re root. Weeds are natures great survivors.
